Best things to sell on Ebay??

Options
Hiya,

I'm quite a novice on the ebay scene and have only sold bits and pieces in the past.
I'd like to start being a more regular seller and maybe specialise in something in particular.

Does anyone have any idea's on the best sort of things to sell? I don't have alot of money to fork out to start with, so it can't be anything mega expensive!

Cheers,

Nic

TBH, buying cheap to sell expensive is a non-starter. Everything is already being bought in bulk/drop shipped/whatever and margins are non-existent if you are just a middle-man, allowing for tax and frauds by buyers/spurious disputes by competitors.

Unless you already have a great deal with a wholesaler as part of another business you won't last 5 minutes.

If you craft something then 'sweat equity' may yield some profit. Buy some seeds and small pots, and sell plants in May.

Sell what you know, anything else is folly and a recipe for disaster.
Recently someone tried to compete with me sourcing the same supplier and mirroring my sales model, they lost a lot of money, they sourced for more and sold for less, sellers often have years of buying experience and loyal customers. It may sometimes look as though its an easy way of earning money, but more have failed than succeeded.
As someone else will soon point out if you are buying to resell you need to register for tax purposes with HMRC.
There's some other threads on here to check on buying and selling pitfalls.
