CAR INSURANCE FOR LAID UP CAR

Can anyone tell me of an insurance co that will insure my car to be laid up in a garage - my current insurance (More Than) is coming to an end and they will only re-insure it fully comp. for nearly £400 as opposed to £150. The car is only a little 10 year old 600cc Suzuki Cappuchino and I have been just keeping it in the garage not being used. Not sure how long for - I am just attached to it but don't want to use it as an everyday car.
Any help gratefully recieved - I hate talking to all these insurance co's - takes up so much time and I don't seem to get anywhere!!

There must be an owners club - see if they will suggest someone.

Go for a 'limited mileage'policy, rather than lowering the cover/valuation.

I'm 17, had a quote with footman james, went to take out the policy on my kit car and they claimed they have changed their policies and dont insure anyone until they're 23!

I now have a £20,000 car that i cant insure!!!

any ideas on an insurance company?

Try Quinn Insurance they would be ideal for someone like Gary Cooper

If you are not going to use it, why insure it?

You should have asked for a discount.

I don't think its an age issue Gary, I cant imagine any Insurance Company in the land prepared to do business with you, especially considering their new policies on "criminal history", your history has tarnished your image.

Gary, you don't seriously expect to get helpful advice here, do you? With your reputation? You may have deleted your post history, but the threads and the memories are still there.

You probably won't get an answer from OP as the post is nearly 6 years old.
