trying to learn how to do this .
there was a thread the other day on this subject but i can't find it now.
i remembered it said .. go to word ... tools....letters & mailing ...envelopes and labels ... labels ... options ... that's all i remember .
got that far ... have now picked avery a4 (labels are actually stationery box own brand but exactly same as)
and then chosen L7680 address which are the little "return address" type .. 3.81x2.12 5 across and 13 down an A4 page
It is printing out 5 across 13 down etc but it's not in line with the template boxes ...appears to print with unequal margin space on the left side compared to the right side .. and bigger spare space at the bottom comparedto the top .
The "L7680 information box" does have details preset for
top margin 1.16cm
side margin 0.47cm
vertical pitch 2.12cm
horizontal pitch 4.06 cm
i'm guessing this is where the problem lies ??
also ... the box where you put address .... putting in name and 3 lines of address works ok but as soon as putting in another line for postcode ... when printing out ... it cuts most of the post code line off . ?
Grateful for any help and guidance .
As you can see i am not techie minded !!

Don't know much about printing labels, not something I do but I would think all you need to do is change the margins to match the labels
Anyway, here is the thread I think you were referring too

If you click the "options" button, and then details, when your labels are highlighted, it will show the full details of the various margins, etc. Whenever I get new labels, I usually create a new template and get my ruler out to fill in the various margins - its easy enough to do as it shows on the diagram which bit to measure.
To create a new one use "Options" and "New Label".

thanks guys for getting on the case ! ... going through the original thread was useful .
i've started tinkering around with the margins etc got top and bottom ok but not the left and right yet.
Suprised with having the masses of info already in the Word system that these aren't preset correctly in the first place ?
also can't see yet how to make the font size smaller in order to get more lines of detail on the label.0 -
All the label templates presume that your printer is set up to print symmetically on the page. Some printers, for reasons best known to their manufacturers, seem to print a little too far to the left (or to the right) and it can be a considerable pain to adjust the label margins to cope with this. The good news is that if you save the (margin-adjusted) template it will be right for next time...

PS You also have to make sure that you haven't by chance selected a template for the US Letter size (8½" x 11"), rather than the noble European A4...0 -
I had a similar problem at work and it was the printer driver. Check for an updated one or reinstall the one you have.0
