Hi,
ok I'm in a bit of a worry. I recently bought an item on eBay for just under £2k which i didn't receive in 14 days so i contacted the buyer who said it was on it's way, another 15 days went and no item so i emailed the guy who said he was having trouble with the courier company who returned the item to him, i had anough so put a complaint in with paypal.
He then emailed me saying to remove the complaint he had over 8k feedback so he seems relaible so i removed the complaint.
But now I still havn't received the item and it's now 35 days past the time since I paid.
What can I do will paypal help me get my money back even though I canceled a complaint just five days after as I said we got it sorted?
thanks

No you only get one chance at a paypal chargeback. Unfortunately some less than honest sellers will try and get a chargeback stopped by the buyer as they know some buyers will do that, but it looks like he has caught you properly.
If you paid by credit card then talk to the CC company today as you can claim back through them.
Good luck

I may be wrong but once you close a complaint I don't think you can re-open it but I am sure someone will confirm it for you. I would not of closed the complaint at the request of the seller even though he has 8,000 feedback as he could have been building an account just to try and scam someone or the account could have been hi-jacked, this is the worst case scenario and the seller could be completely genuine but for the amount of money you paid I myself would worry.
DId your funds come through your credit card onto paypal as you could go through your cc company and tell them you think you are a victim of fraud and they will help you claim your money back.
have you tried emailing the seller asking for a refund as he has had plenty of time to send out the goods and go through ebay and file a "item not received" and start the ball going0 -
So there is no way I can reopen this complaint? or just start the new complaint?
He seemed like a geniune buyer he had over 30 new feedbacks a day with the average item being sold for more than £500.
I paid by debit card so I guess I could contact them. I'm just dispointed that paypal won't re-open it after all its been 35 days I though you could claim after 45 days?
i ashed the guy for a refund he said he wil but it will take a week or two to come up with the funds. Should I risk waiting another week or two?
this has been a nightmare transaction.0 -

.
You can put in a claim up to 45 days, but only the one and paypal do make that fairly clear on their website. Once you cancel the chargeback you are in effect notifying paypal that you are satisfied.

About half way down the page it mentions making only one claim:
For each PayPal payment, you may file one claim for either: item not received; or item significantly not as described.
