Getting Icelandic Krona

My son is going to Iceland with school in March.
Do you know where the best place is to get currency as we are aware that not everywhere is actually doing it at the moment.
I looked on the compare thing on MSE and it said Thomas Cook Global but when I went on the thomas cook site it didnt come up. Perhaps someone can direct me the right way.
To make matters worse we only want £60 worth personally but if its hard to get then maybe we will have to club together and get it.

try thomas exchange global - i think these might be the ones that were being discussed, not thomas cook - i've never heard thomas cook being referred to with the global added on the end

Surely your son can use his debit card and withdraw currency at the cash machine at the airport?0
-
The Post Office recently restarted dealings in the currency - not the best of rates (nor the worst) but for £60 it's not going to be a lot of difference0

Oooh ScarletBea, can you post back the rate you receive once you return from your trip? I'm going in early March, and am keen to see what rates are coming through on the credit/debit cards.
Thanks!

A 'soft' (soon dead) currency like ISK is best bought when you get to Iceland. Like most soft currencies, the best rates are given when you get there.
Here some rates from an Icelandic bank:
