    I found the benefits and work website advice invaluable - that and taking the time to fill the form in on teh PC rather than by hand. Good luck!

    I'm currently applying for DLA, if your council has a Welfare Rights Office then use them, mine doesn't so Citizens Advice are the people to go to. You have to get the wording exactly right first time and then hopefully it won't go to appeal. It's also important to fill in the pages at the back with every other detail you can think of that isn't covered by the questions. Having said all that I may not get it either, we can but hope!

    I always say its only the ones who are fit and healthy but tell fibs who get it !! cos the ones with ME sure as h*ll havent got the energy to fight for it.

    I know my renewal application wouldn't have gone in at all if my husband hadn't helped. I can write proper sentences now but I couldn't cope with grammar then. He found it really hard to do as well because he hadn't realised just how much I struggle - not wearing socks on because you can't put them on doesn't mean you've found a way to cope, it means your not coping and not getting enough support.

    before i fell ill withcfs/ME i was the same, people said i was never still for a minute, always busy,
    its so hard thinking about how much and how much i cant do now,
    ive never been to this part of mse before, glad i have, as i think i will learn alot.
