Free MOT for Audi owners

A friend passed this Audi UK link to me (I don't have an Audi, so can't take advantage). You need to register on the Audi site, but there is a no-junk-mail box to tick.
From the site:
If your Audi is more than three years old, it must undergo an MOT every year. As an Audi owner you can now benefit from having your next test carried out for free. So you can sit back and relax while we take care of your MOT.
If a repair is required, your car is in the hands of the experts in Vorsprung durch Technik. And what’s more, our Audi Genuine parts and labour come with a two-year guarantee*. Naturally there are no hidden charges and no extra work would be carried out without your permission.
Arranging your MOT through us ensures that it won’t just be your car that receives the highest levels of care and service. As for the price, that couldn’t be simpler. It’s absolutely free.
Terms and conditions
Offer covers the cost of the MOT test charge. Privately owned Audi vehicles only. Cannot be redeemed for cash. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Re-tests will be chargeable. Excludes Northern Ireland and Channel Isles.
It does say re-test will be chargeable. That's the only catch I can see, so if the garage is tempted to be over-cautious in testing, it could force costly repairs and a retest. (Check out the cheap MOT guide here)

I have just taken advantage of this. My local Audi garage where I bought the car rang me a couple of weeks ago to say that my first MOT was due and to book it in. They performed the MOT, washed the car inside and out and left a tin of complementary sweets in the car afterwards, all for no charge. I am very pleased with the service provided and would definitely recommend them (if only for the free car cleaning!)0

Booked my Audi into Glasgow Audi and arranged a courtesy car. Turned up and they wanted to charge me £20 for the courtesy car because it was for an MOT otherwise it would be free. I told them to stick it. I'd rather pay £50 for an MOT than be turned over for £20. I'm not very MS but it's the principle. I am complaining too.0
