Onetel line rental/Wanadoo Broadband?

See Wanadoo,s T&C you must have a BT line to use it.I quote

"4.5 The obligations of Wanadoo to provide the Service shall be conditional upon the Technical Requirements being satisfied. You acknowledge that the Service shall not be available to you outside the Service Availability Area and that: (a) it will only be available to you if you have a valid contract for the use of a BT analogue direct exchange line which terminates on a master socket forming part of BT's telecommunications network; (b) you have a computer that satisfies the Technical Requirements; and (c) your Premises falls within the Service Availability Area."

Also if you move your line rental from BT you can end up paying more for your line rental/calling package and for your calls.Plus other suppliers CAN block access to cheap call suppliers like 1899,BT cannot.

OneTel charge for Line Rental with caller display £11.49 .BT charge £11.00.
Onetel charge more for calls to 0844/0845/0870 numbers.

TT have taken over Onetel and in time will amalgamate the brands.TT charge £10.50 for line rental from 1/2/06 £1.75 for caller display,50p for basic 1571=£12.75 a month as opposed to BT,s £11.

Usually better to stay with BT for line rental,and use 1899 for cheaper peak 01/02 calls,and Primus Saver 2 for FREE e&w 01/02 calls .
