Welcome Finance - harassment

Hi all
Despite being BR in August 08 and sending them the copy of the bankruptcy AND sending them another copy when they said they hadn't had first copy AND advising them that the secured loan was included in the bankruptcy EVEN though they said they had spoken to my OR and he (actually a she) said it wasn't included BUT had confirmed to me the same day that it was; (phew bit of a rant there) We had yet another call from Welcome Finance today. Smart !!!! chappy still saying the loan isn't included and what were we doing about it. Told him not to ring anymore, told him to ring OR and when he wouldn't shut up explained that I was going to be very rude to him as he wouldn't listen and told him to FCUK OFF! spelt incorrectly so as not to cause offence. I then hung up. Within minutes his manager rang back (they both were using mobiles so I couldn't screen the calls) he said that he had just spoken to my OR and they said the loan wasn't included. I said that he hadn't had time as any call I have made to OR takes forever to be transferred to case handler. He said was I calling him a liar - so I said YES. He wouldn't listen or even shut up either so I told him I was hanging up and did so.
Have other members had similar harassment from this company, before BR they actually debited my account after being told categorically not to, by re-using bank details previously used which they had assured me would be destroyed after the transaction - I did get this money returned after threatening the manager of the branch with a visit from the police for making a fraudulent transaction from my bank account.
Anything I can do to stop them ringing????

Has the property been repossessed yet or are you doing a voluntary surrender?0

We did send the keys back to the first mortgagee when we moved into rented but they actually went along the possession route even though they had the keys etc. Didn't understand why but let them get on with it. Offer of £85,000 has now been accepted on property (owed £120000 to 1st mortgage, £22,000 ish to Welcome and £20,000 is to 3rd mortgageee). Haven't heard a peep from 1st n 3rd mortgagees just Welcome - they seem to do it purely as a revenge thing.0

Problem is that secured debt isn't included in BR, it's only when it becomes unsecured that it is. So until the repossession has gone through and the debt is then unsecured, Welcome Finance will keep chasing.
Frustrating, but I suspect they might get a small success rate of getting money off people in these circumstances, and that's why they keep chasing.
Might be worth sending them the letter asking for everything to be put in writing and no more phone calls in the interium.0 -

Did they go through the court process for repo?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Yeah there was a date at court etc. I did tell them they already had the keys but apparently they had to officially repo it ?????0

If they have done that then it is an unsecured debt and included.

if the debt was included in bankruptcy it is a criminal offence for you to pay them anything!!! when they ring again tell them that and ask them to clarify that with thier solicitors!!
this happened to me after our BR, not with welcome but another company they actually took my advice and had that same information clarified by thier legal dept!! they actually rang back and appologised and said that they were now aware that i would be breaking the law if i paid a penny!!!
either that or just write to them include a copy of your BR notice and politely tell them they are indeed breaking the law by harrassing you and you want any further contact to made with your official reciever and give them his/her address. once you have done that you can report them for harrassment and also breaking the law regarding demanding payment from a bankrupt!! good luckself confessed 80's throwback:D

Have tried writing to them enclosing copies of bankruptcy notices, have tried being polite, have tried telling them I can't pay them and tried telling them they would be done for harrassment. Now angry so will continue to tell them to **** off when they call. I know it would solve the problem of the calls but why should I change my number and incur expense informing all contacts of new number. There should be some protection from companies like this - could OR not advise them when contacting them about bankruptcy that they are not to harrass?0

If you can show the OR that the debt is now unsecured and so included, then they may be willing to warn Welcome off.
They have certainly done this for people in the past.
