Hi. Does anyone know where i can get some good detox/cleansing tablets? I usually buy Holland and Barratts 'BioCleanse' which is fantastic, but they are out of stock in store and on the website.
If anyone has used any that seem to have worked, i would be very grateful.

Complete waste of time and money, the best way to detox is to follow a good diet and to drink plenty of water for a few days.
It is no good taking detox tablets if you are eating the wrong things, you just undo whatever good that the tablets have done (and that won't be much). But if you follow a good diet you will not need to take the tablets anyway, so they are a waste of time and money either way.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

I really wasn't after your opinion on detoxing. If you can't answer my question then please don't post.I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0 -

I'll do what I goddamned please! This is a money saving site, and I am trying to save you money by suggesting that you do not waste your money on such a pointless product, but if you want to waste your cash you can please yourself. But for anyone who wants to see sense, the answer still applies. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

OOOh, get you!!
I posted a question and was hoping for an answer, not a sermon. So you don't agree with detoxing - fair enough - but that wasn't my question. Instead of posting for the sake of getting your opinion across, why not try posting to help people. I thought that was the idea of this site.I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0 -
You might very well get an answer, but in the mean time I offered some sensible and educated advice, if you choose not accept it that's your problem, go ahead and waste your hard earned money on snake oil...but you cannot tell me not to reply, this is a free and open forum for people trying help each other save cash, and that is what my advice is aimed at.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

I used these about a year ago:from Boots.com
They also come in other flavours. The pack comes with other suggestions to maximise the detox.

You posted the above query, and you got a very reasonable response from Zenseeker. There is no scientific evidence whatsoever that these products have any positive effect. You have an entire organ devoted to 'detoxing' and, as long as you don't overload it with saturated fats, alcohol and chemicals (e.g. detox tablets) ... it will work perfectly. Your system functions optimally if you take regular exercise as well as eating a balanced diet.
Foods that will naturally 'detox' your system include anything high in water, fibre or vitamins and minerals - lots of fruit, veg, wholegrains, nuts, pulses. Limit your intake of refined sugars as these are inflammatory in excess, ditto refined/ white carbs which these are quickly broken down to sugar, and no trans fats as your body cannot process them.
I have a strong heathcare background and have researched natural therapies extensively: I guarantee a consistently healthy diet and physical activity will make you feel amazing. If the herbal products actually worked, they would be regulated as pharmaceuticals not as food products.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Thank you for the advice but a search on the internet will give me that information. I do try to eat as healthy as possible but like most people, i am not perfect. I suffer from IBS and find that detox tablets taken every 3 months or so actually help me- my stomach is flatter and less bloated, my skin is clearer and i have more energy. That isn't a figment of my imagination. I wouldn't be using the tablets if they weren't helping me!
I actually want someone who uses detox tablets to let me know which ones have helped them - that was the whole point of the question. And i don't think my response was over the top - i resent being told i am wasting my money and being preached to when all i am looking for is an answer - not an opinion.I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0 -
You certainly can find all that information on the internet, along with an awful lot of rubbish. That's the charm of the net - anyone can post anything they want!
If you have IBS then the best supplements for you would be high potency fish oils (proven anti-inflammatory) and freeze-dried acidophilus capsules. I have had almost magical results with these. But you are probably already taking these? I would probably steer clear of any detox supplement that is high in insoluble fibre tho.
