How do we deal with judgemental points of view, and how do we remain sane. I can't live in the safe, supportive world of this forum forever however hard I try.0

Hi cp, this thread makes my blood boil, a few of us have been following it with great interest but i have refrained from posting, i think that the mud slingers are just not worth it! they know nothing about what people on here go through.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Try to remember, often people will post something on an internet forum that they wouldn't have the nerve to say in person. Often, the internet acts as a barrier, and people forget they are talking about other people's lives, and therefore can come across as more judgemental than they actually mean to be.
Going bankrupt can be a traumatic experience. I don't think anyone can go through it without being changed in some way. Be true to yourself, hold your head up high, and you will get through this.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

creditpunch, the Real world is not like that, the chances of you meeting anyone that has the ba11s to say things like whats in that thread to your face is almost zero:D
Its easy to type mindless drivel when your behind the safety of a computer screen;)Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
They all seem like people from another planet, people I have never come across before except in some draconian tv show (on my 19inch tv by the way - no plasmas here)
If being good with money means being a hard nose, judgemental, blinckered, not in my back yard, ignorant person then I think I need a BRO.................only kidding, about the BRO that is0 -
I read the whole thread through and the majority of people who posted on it are the type of people who will always believe that they are better than everyone else and if you had a black dog, theirs would be blacker (if you know what I mean), just take with a very large dose of salt and remind yourself that even if you did get yourself in this mess, you're still a far better person than they'll ever try to be. And just remember that what goes round, comes round, so they'll get their just desserts one day.:beer:0

Hi CP
I am aware of this thread and I have also refrained by posting on it.
People have different opinions and sometimes they do not agree with ours. It is nice on this board but venture out and they are not so friendly. I made that mistake when I first joined and ,i suppose, with time you tend to not let them get to you so much.
You are doing what is right for you not what is right for someone else

Dear creditpunch,
If you stumbled on the means to alleviate all pain and suffering in this world, for every human, animal, plant, insect and politicianthere'd still be an overwhelming number of people desperate to hang you from a "sour old apple tree".
You should completely ignore people that seek to make themselves feel better by adding to the misery and discomfort of others; they're scarecly fit to wipe one's bottom on.:rolleyes:

comment like this make me jump and see the ginorance from some people
" i dont understand either
.... but from having a quick look, it does seem too easy, and maks me pretty angry if im brutally honest......"
then after such nice and logical argument they think they are all high and mighty so make me wonder they know nothing about BR procedure etc.. but they can make a sweeping statement on how it is actually easy to be BR ?BSC number 1830 -
The thing that makes this country great (despite all the mess etc, I think that it is) is the fact we are allowed free speech. We are allowed to have our own opinions and we are not censored. (legalities of defamation, slander aside etc). If someone wants to think that way, then they are allowed and permitted to do so. Sadly, the Daily Mail tends to be the majorities only source of information.....
However, this is a faceless forum and people say what they think will make them appear to be great. These are the same people who are all talk and no action and try to "big themselves up" (as my teens would put it!)
Don't get angry about it. Feel great! Its great they think that way. We can feel smug at later dates when they turn up with tails between legs asking for advice.
And TBH, my views were similar many years ago. Okay, they were no way as severe as those in that thread, but until I started to accept that BR was my course of action, I was quite anti it. How could someone just walk away from debts like that when the rest of us struggled?? The grass is not always greener. If the grass is greener on your side then you are fortunate. But you don't know that at the time!0
