Does anyone know of any websites similar to MSE in the US?

Hi all,
I've recently joined this site and think it's fantastic!!!
I often go to the US and have many friends there so I was wondering if anyone knows of any websites that are similar to MSE in the US? Stuff is usually cheeper there, but if I could get some advice on saving $s instead of £s I could make my money go even further!.

Not aware of any in the US but you could always start off a forum, like I did for Australia.
It's hard going to get members to post regularly though! But hopefully will get there one day.
