ICICI - Fixed Rates ... INCREASING FR by 0.35% ???
ICICI Bank UK
12 MONTH HISAVE FIXED RATE (without early access) withdrawn and replaced paying an increased rate of 5.10% w.e.f. 16.12.08: a 12 month fixed term account with a minimum investment of £1K paying 5.10% on maturity. Earlier access and further additions are not permitted. All transactions via a nominated current account.

good to see ICICI Bank UK bucking the current trend and increasing the rate on this 12 month bond by 0.35% to 5.10%.
This market leading bond may appeal to many as fixed and variable rates have started to tumble. With no earlier access or additions permitted, investors need to ensure they can afford to tie up funds for the full term.

Friend please realise that ICICI itself is not totally secure, at least not over the guaranteed £50K in the UK. In fact their dollar bonds (where rates are lower than with the pound) are trading at an 11-12 percent yield which must say something.
NB Anglo-Irish now also paying 5.25% for 12 months ....see Moneyfacts0 -
Looks like the Anglo-Irish one is 5.00% according to their own website.0
