Evening everyone!
Its been asked on the current challenge if the December thread was up yet so i thought i best post it plus i am busy at weekend and don't want to start it late.
The wonderful Jacks xxx has run the November challenge but its my turn for December, we will be alternating for as long as this challenge is wanted!
The idea of the challenge for any newbies is you decide how many days in December you feel you can not spend on and with the support of many lovely MSE members we will try and help you achieve that goal!
Jacks wrote a mini rule list last month which is very helpful so i will paste it here:
The Rules
1) You set your own rules!
Most people don't count bills and direct debits, and it's probably best not to count regular expenses that you aren't planning to reduce , or that you can't do anything about - such as the kids dinner money / pocket money or your train fare to work etc.
Ebay posting doesn't count cos the buyers pay for that.
After that...it's up to you.
Some people count food shopping and some don't. (I do cos otherwise I would sneak all sorts into my trolley!)
Some count petrol and some don't.
The basic rule of thumb is: If it's a regular expense and you can't reduce it - then don't count it.
If you declare on here what will count with you and what won't it helps other posters figure their own plan out.
If you want to see how it all works, November's challenge is here:

So just let me know if you want to join by posting your amount of NSD's below, obviously with Christmas next month it may be a tough month for some but you can pick as many or as few as you want.

It's going to be a very expensive month with the holidays and the social events that go with it, but I will aim for 12 and hope for more.
