Just received this email, just in case some have not, key text follows

.... we suggest that you check your account online once a day at a similar time to see whether your account can be initiated. If it can, this would indicate that your second email has been sent but you have not yet received it.

If you find you can initiate the process, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible, having read the copy of the second email, which can now be viewed on our website at the following address: https://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/icesave_invitation_email.

    Due to the dire warnings at the end of the message including "unauthorised use, disclosure or copying" decided just to quote a little bit of it.

    Seems as if the FSCS has been reading the forums here and noted the advice offered to people to just login and check to see if they can initiate their accounts.

    Just wanted to say I received an e-mail from FCSC today, though not the second one they mentioned, but it stated I could try to log in.
    Went to icesave login page and using original security details managed to access system and initiate transfer.
    Warns once done would not be able to get back into account so have copied each page and statement.

    Hope this is of some use.
    Thanks to all who have posted here and for the site in general.

    A worrying time has been helped by the info found here.

    I've still not had my second email - but I'm worried about trying to log on to the Icesave website because of all the warnings telling you not to until you've had a second email! I don't want to muck up the process...
  • Just received my 2nd email, my request is being prosessed. Its been a very stresfull time for all concerned. But there is light at the end of the Iceberg, Hope everybody,will be as happy as me for christmas, Thanks FSCS.

    They are now telling you that its worth trying once a day to initiate the compensation process without the 2nd email.

    So go ahead and try, its not going mess anything up
