Online accounts, online transfer, fixed rate

Anyone know of any fixed rates of 5.5% or above which you can open online and transfer online?
I want to move some money to a 1yr bond if I can but I need it by mid-Nov next year and doing it all by post could be slow. I could open a Nationwide eBond from my Flexaccount really quickly, which I might, but it only pays 4.6%.
Thanks.

Stompa has just pointed out that my B&B variable rate (which the last they told me it had gone down to 6.01% is actually just 4,8% and falling to 3.2% tomorrow! Time to move.0

As per latest MSE recommendation, the AA are still paying 6.48%. How long will this last?In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0

Various offerings at Halifax :-

....... but you would need either a variable Web saver or current account in order to kick most of them into action. If (I remember?) you've recently moved house - the former is probably easier (and more logical if you're only interested in term deposits) to open than the latter. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Thanks ... I'm already maxed out with AA (part of HBOS) and haven't got time to open new current accounts anyway, have just moved house (sold up and renting) and need the money this time next year.0

You can open a halifax fixed rate websaver @6.5% (3months). AA is on the bos platform so won't interfere with you opening a halifax web saver. hope this helps0

Have been looking at this myself this morning;) You have to open another account though I think, so confusing this and taking out accounts online takes up so much time in research etc and setting up. Sometimes I think oh what the hell too much hassle!!!!But then the miser in me takes over.......................0
