I want to park at heathrow at a 'reasonable price' and where they are reliable

Hi

was wondering if anyone can recommend a way of parking at/near Heathrow airport the cheapest way possible, prefer not to leave the keys with them as I've seen a report on watchdog that some use your car and drive around in it!!!

Have some Tesco clubcard vouchers but not too sure how to use them yet. Reading up o n it as I type.

TIA

    Hello pcyam

I'll move your thread to the 'Travel, Trips & Holidays' board.

I always use Purple parking. Last time took advantage of the valet parking service which was top notch. Booked it here http://secure.holidayextras.co.uk/parking?profile=egg

how far are they from the airport. Only reason is there will be a young baby and dont want to be too far, or can we drop them off first.

I think all the Heathrow parks I have ever used have required to keep your key - the reason is not so that they can drive around in your car but because the parks are vast and you don't want to have to walk half a mile to find your car. They can drive it to the far end and retrieve it on your return to save you the walk

It's generally rogue valet parkers who use your car, not large 'static' parks.

If you use Purple parking then go through Quidco and use Glen the Bakers code ITT.

    Saved me £50!
  • Using a fab tip from another money saver, I managed to get a place at Heathrow Purople Parking for £42 for 19 days with the code.
The cheapest I had seen for that time was £84.50!!!!

I have used Purple Parking and they are fine. However note that the time it takes to get to the airport during morning traffic is about 50 minutes. You really must account for that.

Thumbs up for Purple Parking from me too ;0)

If you are that concerned that they might go on the rampage in your car, take a dated digi photo of your mileage counter when you park the car.

You don't park the car. They park it for you.

But yes I have found them reliable whenever I have used them.
