£50 Amazon Vouchers for doing 50 reviews

Official MoneySavingExpert.com Update 11.50am: The traffic coming through from the weekly email means Qype has had a huge surge in registrations and sadly the promotion's ended now. Qype has assured us that anyone who registered by 11.30am Wed 19 November and who fulfills the terms properly will receive the voucher.


What's it about?

Write 50 reviews on review website Qype of services you've used such as dentists, plumbers etc, places you've visited such as shops, restaurants, cafes, or events you've attended anywhere in the world (the review must be in English), and you'll receive a £50 Amazon voucher to spend anywhere on the Amazon website.

How do I get one?

When does the offer end?

The promotion ends 30 November. It was originally available to the first 500 people to complete 50 reviews yet after we spoke to Qype to check the deal for the weekly email it offered to make 1,000 vouchers available to MoneySavers.

Why's Qype doing this?

While it's great Qype's doing this, the aim's obviously to build up its database of good quality reviews.

How do I review something?

Use the site's search facility to check if the place or event you want to review is already listed. If it is then simply click "Add review" and away you go. There's no need to go out and make a special trip to visit it now. If you've been there then that's enough. Just give your views on how you felt you were treated, whether you liked the food, if you thought it was cheap/expensive etc. The more detailed you can be the better and obviously if you just wrote one-liners saying "I liked it" then your review won't count towards your 50 (see more about the t&cs below).

There's no need to stop at 50 reviews though. If you're concerned any may be rejected it's worth writing a few more than the minimum just to be on the safe side.

How do I know if my reviews have qualified?

Firstly, you'll receive an automated email letting you know when you've reached the half way point and another when you've reached 50 saying once the quality of reviews has been checked Qype will start sending the vouchers out.

The emails containing your unique Amazon voucher code will be sent directly to your email address from Amazon. To make sure your email reaches your inbox rather than your spam filter add "gc-orders@amazon.co.uk" to your contacts.

How soon will I know if I’ll get a voucher once I’ve done my 50 reviews?

The vouchers will be emailed out by 10 December at the latest but this date has been given as a failsafe. Qype plans to start sending them out before then.

What if I've not received mine by 10 December?

First check Qype's terms and conditions. It could be that your reviews didn't meet the quality guidelines it's asking for. If you still feel you should have received one and didn't then email feedback@qype.com with the subject line - “Amazon” to ask.

Terms and Conditions

You must write at least 50 reviews of at least 100 words. They need to be good quality reviews. One or two liners just saying "I liked this, I'd recommend it" will be rejected.

For obvious reasons reviews found to have been copied from other review sites will be rejected.
