Prize from Great Competitions not received!

After Muffy0 kindly listed the winners from the latest competitions on the Great Competitions website I realised that they list winners by title, surname and postcode. All the time I have been googling my name, as you do :D , I have always put my first and last name into the search. So I decided to google the title, surname and postcode. The search brought up a win from Great Competitions for a Birthing Pool Kit from back in June which I have never received!!!

I have emailed them stating that I don't have a very common surname so I can't imagine there being more than one of us in my postcode and have asked them to look into it for me. Don't hold out much hope of receiving any prize now though

EDIT:
I have just done a search for my mum as well and apparently she won a prize back in July which, again, has never been received. Surely they have actually sent these prizes out???

I got a letter from great competitions 2 days ago to say I'd won a prize from Aug, so think they're probably quite slow at getting these out. It'll probably be the PR company who are the problem, my letter had contact details for them to chase the prize if it doesn't arrive, so hopefully they should be able to help you.

    too many comps..not enough time!

I won a prize in May from Great Competitions which arrived within a week.

BUT I also won again in July, I found out by 'googling' my name, which isn't a common one. I have never recieved this prize. I have emailed them five times and never had a response. So I have followed the advice on this board and contacted Edwin Mutton....

7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.

If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.

The Institute of Sales Promotions complaints@isp.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star.

Edwin has replied to my email and is looking into the matter, maybe others should contact him to .

Did you put speech marks around it hun? I notice that there are no winners lists for Yours mag from August so if you won it from there - chances are its not showing yet
  • no didnt do speech marks !! will try that now xxx.

and the hoover was definitely from Yours but the toy mower was a mother and baby one I think !!!
