Southern Electric Economy 7 times
Options
I enquired the times covered by economy 7 with southern electric. Not all compaies use the same times but I thought I'd post the reply from them here anyway in case anyone else wanted to know:
'The 7 hour period currently runs between 11.30pm and 6.30am during the winter
and 12.30am to 7.30am during British Summer Time.'
'The 7 hour period currently runs between 11.30pm and 6.30am during the winter

Thanx

I've just switched to Ebico (which is southern in effect) and my E7 is an hour later than that. I think it is the settings on the meter, as done by the installing company) that are important and nothing to do with your current supplier.

Even the customers who have the later radio controlled Teleswitches, do not all switch over at the same time! Each consumer will be different but as long as you know and get the seven hours, surley that's all that matters.

Quite right :snow_laug . I am with Southern Elec and my 7 hours are currently 10:30 to 12:30 then 2:30 to 7:30. I asked the engineer who called recently to fit a new radio teleswicth for the meter. Also, I can tell from a small red plastic indicator on the meter near the digital display. When Economy 7 is on this indicator moves up towards the low meter reading, when on normal rate the indicator moves down towards the normal meter reading.
If anybody has got the same type of indicator and you want to know the real times why not spend a night watching the indicator :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Southern Elec told me 11:30 to 6:30 as well as first poster but this was incorrect.
