Nice spot Hammer, went and got one of these beautys today as my Epson 740 was getting past it. Print quality is excellent (I have not even tried the photo settings yet) and photocopy function is brilliant, they even give you full ink cartridges rather than "test" cartridges like other manufacturers do. I have not played with all the functions on it yet but what I have seen so far I am well pleased for the money. I also got some gift vouchers at the same time to take my spend over £50 so I got the free £5 voucher as well, worth doing if you are like me and are always spending money in Argos :D. There are load of sites offering compatible cartridges for this printer as well for around £15 for a full set of replacements (black, Cyan, Yellow and Magenta) but looking at how frugal it is with ink so far I don't expect to be buying these on a regular basis. Thanks again Hammer
    Bring on the Bling!
  • Nice to know cos i picked one up for my sister earlier and she belled me a few mins ago raving about her new printer

Hi can you tell me which site offer the cartridge sets for £15

    regards huggins
  • Is this type of printer any good for photographs?
Can you just put your card from the camera into the card reader to get the prints?

Excellent stuff, just never sure with Argos they are so unpredictable!

Probably be back up to full price tomorrow or more.

I have only had HP printers before and found them user friendly, I am looking at this printer for my Father who is 76 years old, would it be classed as user friendly.

Also I have always just had one colour cart in my printers how does this multiple colours work just replace individually as required I take it?

    Thanks
  • I would say its user friendly, my sister whos not overly technical got hers working pretty quick and you know when the carts are getting low by checking printer status on taskbar.

    Another place for inks. http://www.inkinkink.net/index.php/cPath/2050_2096
  • Thanks Hammerslammer. Been to Argos today, got the printer 115 version, it looks perfect for use with my laptop and camera. Tucked away safely for santa to deliver.
Brilliant prices on the ink website too. Saved me £££££'s

I got the 115 but exchanging it tomorrow as it keeps trying to print but not taking the paper through, strange I know!

For £40 it seems ideal for my scanning needs, basically a cheap desktop photocopier and from the copies I got before the problem above started happening, it is fairly quick and scanning and printing something (It prints as it scans in copier mode!).

Don't even need it hooked up to a PC for the copier so it can be placed anywhere in the house :D
