KAUPTHING - ING, Do I need to move my £ out of ING?

I am a bit confused over this. Do I need to move my money which was in KE, now ING out to be safe?
Will I be receiving interest on this money.
ING are still a top paying interest account but do I need to apply to open another ING account or will it be done automatically?
Thanks to all,
Good Luck!

Looking at the huge backlog and mess with the KE / ING merge, transfers still missing after 10 days etc. I'd suggest leaving your money where it is, until things are all sorted out, then make a decision to stick or move.0

Well it is in a very safe place, i agree with isofa seems good advice to me, all moneys will be transfered back to there linked accounts by the 17th (TOMORROW) according to ING's latest update.0

I did a transfer of £17k from KE on Tuesday this week after deciding to put everything we have in building societies (Nationwide and Coventry). According to ING, it should be in my linked account tomorrow. We shall see!0

Mmmm
So does that mean my £ will be transerred tomorrow without me having to do anything?
I did read somewhere the interest would be 4.5% or thereabouts for a ING
savings account, which isn't great.
So now the rounds of opening yet another account with all the paperwork involved its such a pain in the proverbial!!
Maybe thats how the foreign banks pulled us all in, in the first place.
Easier access???
Thanks again to all0 -

No, the money will only be transfer if you had a transfer in process at the time Kaupling was closed down. Otherwise it will still be in your Kaupling (now ING) account"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

If you have given instruction to have your money transfered to your linked acoount on or before 13th then you should get it by the 17th according to INg0
