Is it me or is experian crap?
Carphonewarehouse stuffed up so i got stuff on my credit history now and i need a copy of it to get it removed.
I re-registered with experian, and since sunday i log on and it says updating details, and i cannot proceed to view my report. Have emailed 3days in a row but no response whatsoever.

I know how you feel!!
I had a 30 day free trial 2 years ago and cancelled it before they charged me. So on saturday I wanted to check my report as hsbc had for some reason rejected me for ccard. I applied for the 30 day trial and when it came to the end of the application it said I was an existing customer and gave me password reminders and I managed to login to my account.
Like yours, it said it was updating my details. Then to my horror their confirmation email said they are welcoming me back and £6.99 has been taken from my account!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I have just literally spoken to them and the guy said you can't have two free trials. Even though I argued with him that I had no indication that it would cost me £6.99 until the welcome email arrived in my inbox, he stuck to his guns :mad:.
I said to him if I could obtain it for £2 why would I pay 7quid!! No sympathy whatsoever!
He is now going to remove me from the system and I have to reapply as a new customer.
Oh how I hate these institutions that have such a hold over you!0 -

I've never done it but I think you call them up and arrange it and post off a cheque or something.0 -

Statutory reports are available from all the CRAs for £2 each.
They won't advertise it highly but the information will be there if you look because it is a legal obligation for them to provide this.
It takes about a week and comes in the post.
Obviously they will advertise their more expensive services more heavily.

Once you are registered, that's it. Free for 30 days is free for 30 days, or I'd be doing it every 30 days! :-)
Experian are a little tricky on the navigation, I remember it being a pain to get to the free page without it trying to take you to the chargable extras link. I like to think I'm computer savy but I had to phone to get advice to get to the free info without paying the fee it mentioned on the page. It's not crystal clear, but I'm guessing that's how they make their money. That and people forgetting to cancel.(also the hard sell when you do cancel!) I got something for free in the end, so not too bad.0 -

I think they should at least tell you that re-registering will cost 7quid.0 -
