Free entry to Duxford Imperial War Museum 9 Nov

There is free admission for everyone on Sunday 9th November at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. We went last year, and there was a huge turnout for the Remembrance Day open air service.
There is very little chance of any flying on the day, but it's a great day out for children and plane enthusiasts. The new Airspace hangar is very impressive and has won a number of awards. If the weather is cold, I'd recommend taking a flask of tea or coffee as there were very large queues at the coffee shops on site.
The normal entrance fee is £16 for an adult, so why not put a couple of quid in the Poppy Appeal boxes on the day?
No need to book tickets in advance, just turn up on the day and you'll be waved straight through.
I won't be there as it's my 40th that day, I'll be too busy dealing with my midlife crisis:beer:

Just tried to book online but it says the day is sold out or not available.
Does that mean it is full or they are just not doing online bookings for that day, we took the kids in the summer and they loved it - it would be nice to take them again0 -
Also tried to book online, must be full0

I just rang them, and the lady said that there`s no need to book tickets.
You can just turn up on that day.
Good find ozvaldinho! I`ve been wanting to go here for a long time with my Mum.0 -
Oh that is great then. The kids will have a great day out again.
Thanks for posting ozvaldinho :beer:0 -
why does one have to pay to go into Duxford air museum when the aircraft museum at Cosford is free. It " Really Grips Me" when I have to pay to "GO IN" to see aircraft that "I WORKED ON FOR YEARS"0

Worth noting that if you can't make it on that day, you can also use Tesco deals vouchers to pay (although not on airshow days), and kids are free.0

Thanks a lot and happy birthday!
