Dudes,
Popped this on the Grabbit Board to get maximum exposure.
I used the excellant advice on MSE to research my house insurance at renewal towards the end of August and stumbled on this myself:
Get this - Asda was not the cheapest quote for me but they are currently giving £68 cashback on Quidco for any home insurance policy - link is here.
Asda is one of the few merchants on Quidco that currently do not offer split cashbacks (and therefore smaller) for home and contents insurance.
My policy with Asda was just for contents - it cost £47.50.
So I'm £20.50 up on the deal - better then free contents insurance!!
On Quidco the purchase tracked within a day and validated today (about a month later) - hence the post.
Hope this is of use to someone.

I recently bought Landlord (rented out) home insurance from Co-op and I needed only building insurance, they quoted me £143.**. Other people told me that they pay around £240 for building insurance therefore I got it for around £100 cheaper..
Obviously I went through Quidco and its already validated £85 next day...
Therefore my Landlord Building Insurance is now £58.**Titch0 -
Been meaning to get contents cover for a while (i get building cover via my building maintenace charge)
Mine came to 48.50, so should pocket some cash.

It's not clear if the price quoted is inclusive of the discount or not - i clicked through to Asda after logging into quidco.
Can someone advise if the quote includes the discount or not.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

Not sure if I'm reading your question right...
There is no 'discount' - you simply go to Asda Finance via Quidco - get a quote - if the price is right for you buy it (for me the cover I needed for my contents cost £47.50) and then the purchase should track in Quidco as £68 cashback.
Before you try it again clear all Cookies and log into Quidco then use the Asda link.

Sorry if i wasn't clear.
Does the price quoted on the asda site include the cashback through quidco or is that still to be taken into consideration when comparing quotes?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

Ok - the price you see on the Asda site is just the quote - it will be the same price if you go to Asda direct or through Quidco.
The cashback of £65 is what Asda pays Quidco as an affilated Merchant - it just so happens that for the cover I wanted the cashback was more than the quote.
It might help you to explore the MSE guide to Home Insurance - link here - that's where I started.
Cheers,

asda is only for those who own their house and not those who rent! co-op appears to be only 25 quid cashback via quidco. more than offers 85.0
