TalkTalk Offer - seems too good

I had a long call from TT earlier this week, they offered me BB+Line+Calls for £15.99 pm - I already use them for calls. I told them I did not want BB as I'm happy with my provider. I was put through to somebody else (Indian I think) and she offered me Line Rental+Calls including free evening/weekend calls and free overseas calls to 36 countries for an all-in cost of £10.50 per month. This seems very good as my line is more than that with BT! I cannot see this package on TT'S website, are there any snags?
Thanks
Peter

One big snag if you read this board is that TT tell lies, then deny any such offer was made, and you cannot prove otherwise as you do not have it in writing
Ask for it in writing, then see how true it isWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
If you pay line rental to talktalk on an unbundled line I am sure you cannot go to anyone else for your broadband.
You can almost get that deal from BT (excluding the International calls), Paperless billing and sign up to a rolling 12month contract, £10.50 to include free evening/weekend calls.0 -
All I can say is that I have been with TalkTalk for 8 months now and am very pleased indeed, and it is fabulous being able to talk to friends abroad for NOTHING! I have the whole package, for £16 something a month. I have not found they told me any lies as yet. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0

Just found the package on talktalk for you. The free evening/weekend package is only free for 12 months ,thereafter it is £2.65 per month. However they are offering £35 cheque if you sign up.I had a long call from TT earlier this week, they offered me BB+Line+Calls for £15.99 pm - I already use them for calls. I also think this is only available in unbundled exchanges as you have to check to see if available for your area.
I did not look to see how long the free International add on is for.0 -
Thanks, there is a letter on its way which should list all smallprint stuff and there is 14 day cooling off period. If I don't like the look of where it's going I'll withdraw and check out BT to stay as I am.
If I stay with this TT offer will my line be okay for BB which is with Zen?
Thanks again,

I think that last part's already been answered.notbritishgas wrote: »If you pay line rental to talktalk on an unbundled line I am sure you cannot go to anyone else for your broadband.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

If you take Talk Talk Line Rental and Calls only you agree to two seperate 12 month contracts one for rental one, for calls.
Free Intl Calls are only available for a limited period. Normally its £3.95 a month.
Talk Talk charge £1.50p a month for caller display. BT of course offer it for free.
The Talk Talk tariff list shows a paper billing charge of £1.25 a month.
Talk Talk can and do block access to short codes like 18185/1899.0 -
I've not heard anything from TT since the call 8 days ago, so I called customer services who told me the offer I was given was incorrect and my best deal was £14.49 inclusive of line rental and calls.
I suggested they sort out their Indian sales staff! They are inadequately prepared when making their pitch:rolleyes: Or, as has been suggested in this thread "staff are less than honest" - I wonder which?0
