Any deals for RAC membership

Have a look how much AA or Green Flag would be (including cashback) and also check out how much RAC would quote you if you were signing up for the first time rather than renewing. Then give them a call to say that x is only £x and in my experience they'll match no problem.0

You can use Tescos Clubcard Deals tokens for RAC membership. The man without a signature.0

My experience is quite the opposite. Tried to get me to stay with the statement that the others would put their price up too after the first year
I'm not looking forward to my next renewal then
I suppose like all similar things such as insurance/sky/cable etc it depends on who you speak to and when.0 -
Suppose I could have asked for a discount but I didn't - although they did ask why I wanted to cancel and I did say I can get it for £x elsewhere.0

My AA membership expires next month. I pay by direct debit-I admit to being a bit lazy about this-I have used the AA several times and rate them as first class-really excellent service when I have needed them.
But, whilst thanking me for my loyal membership of 39 years, they want £144.00!
I looked on their website, where they offer a 35% discount for online purchase-reducing it to about £108.00-I feel outraged that I am being charged extra for loyalty and paying by DD!
This has finally made my mind up to change to the RAC-and use Tesco clubcard deals in payment! But I shall inform the AA why I am leaving-I really would like to stay, but I now feel fleeced off!0 -
You won't change the way they all work unfortunately. It's obviously a proven successful business model. No doubt most people just pay up on renewal. All you can do is change every year, pay the extra, or you could try asking for a discount.0
