Need help to find a cheap flight to Barcelona

A very good friend of mine is getting married soon and she is having her hen night in Barcelona. Unfortunately, all of the friends who are going on the trip aren’t flexible at all with the date. As they can only flight on the weekend, it’s impossible to find a cheap ticket.
Because I’ve never been to Barcelona myself, I thought it would be a waste just to pay £100 airfare for one night (plus not be able to see the city at all). So am thinking about going there earlier or stay behind for a few days by myself. My friends are flying from Manchester on Sat morning and return on the Sunday evening, the ticket cost around £75-85.
Would I be able to get anything cheaper than £85 for November? Or should I just stick with my friends’ plan, going to Barcelona for one night only? I thought about getting two separate tickets from different companies as well, for example:
BMI Baby flight from Manchester
£0.0 (tax £24)
(The flight leaves in the afternoon thu)
Ryanair return from Girona to Manchester
£33
(Plus the transport money to the airport from Barcelona)
As there will be other hidden cost for the hen night/wedding, I would like to spend as little as possible for the flight
Any information and advice will be appreciated.
Many Thanks

The good thing about flying to Barcelona airport is that it is only 20 minutes from the city centre which is a big bonus over Girona0

Which weekend in November are you planning to go?
Are you at all flexible with your departure airport?
You might find cheaper flights to Girona from East Midlands with Ryanair.
e.g.
outbound thurs 6/11 14:30 costs £10.00 inc taxes
inbound sun 9/11 10:00 costs £12.99 inc taxes
Do be aware that if you book with RyanAir, you will be charged £4 per person per flight for payment by debit or credit card - unless you have a visa electron card.0 -
I found a return flight from Manchester to Barcelona with Ebookers (Monarch Airlines) on Thursday 6/11 - Tuesday 11/11 for £62.38 includes all taxes & fees - Thursday 13/11 - Tuesday 18/11 the same price. Not sure how long you want to go for so guessed at dates however I found that if you return on a Tuesday as opposed to a Monday, it's a lot cheaper. Hotel costs will have to be taken into consideration though

Thanks for all the information.
After endless searching, I think I probably won’t get anything cheaper than £65.
I’m planning to go in the end of November for about four days, but, again, it all dependents on the financial situation >_<.
Thanks again!0
