Kaupthing Edge - Login Problems

Thanks to MSE, I've opened a Kaupthing Edge online savings account. However, attempts at logging in aren't successful most of the time. Is anyone else having the same problem? I've emailed KE for a comment on why their system is so unreliable but so far no reply. I'd be interested to know how others feel about KE.

Don't know if this helps, but when I set up my KE account, I started my memorable word with a capital letter. Therefore when I tried to log in I only managed to get in if I spelt my memorable word with the capital letter if the first letter was chosen as the login random letter. So, a lot of the time I'd be OK as the first letter was not requested.
I quickly worked this out and changed my memorable word for one all in lower case.0 -

Me neither. I've been with Kaupthingy almost since launch on 2 Feb 2008 and never experienced any login problems.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0

I always get log-in problems. always on the first 3 numbers. On numbers 4,5 & 6 its OK. Always takes about 4 goes to log-in.0

This is an ongoing problem that only affects users who joined after 30th May 2008. Anyone who joined before this date does not have the login problems because they are using the old login system which works so much better than the new one. I'm quite surprised that KE haven't figured out what the problem is after all this time.0

I joined after 30 May and have never had a log in problem.
The only small problem that exists is the need to capitalise the first character of your memorable word even if it was originally in lower case.

I just set up an account and the very first time I tried to log-in after receiving my account details I was unable to do so, getting various website errors before being told that my account had been locked (I presume due to multiple failed log-in attempts). Although this perhaps sounds like it doesn't bode well, I phoned KE the next day (8am on a Saturday) and had excellent prompt and helpful service over the phone to reset the account, after which I was able to log-in without problems. Fingers crossed the latter is the more common occurrence.0
