Too upset over the single thread of sim cards and against!

Please could we have a poll who would like a propper forumn on sim cards freebies?. You may of notice jo_b now move onto a single thread and members still posting in the freebies section!!.

I am total against on the single post due to:
A/ Can't see the new sims when they are posted
B/ Can't tell which is active and which is not if you are new member........
C/ Use to have loads of thanks - now not so many!!!!
D/ Have to keep looking on this single thread now

The only good thing about it ment to cut down on the number of threads but if we have a forumn wont be so bad after all. 3G started a forum on this works great...........

What do you think good or bad move?.

  • Sorry but the idea of posting a bargain is for other users to be able to buy/send for that bargain and not for the thanks

    a. the newest post is the latest sim card offer, don't see a problem with that.

    b. it can then be posted as closed when it does

    c. as above

    d. this has been very successful with the magazine thread for months

I actually think the thread could be shorter.

The same links usually come round again - the various O2 ones seem to continuous between them at the moment - so the whole lot could be permanently posted, and either updated with ticks, flags or whatever, or - for less work - left unattended without comment, only adding new ones occasionally.

Or is it intended to delete posts when the offers expire, making it easy to see only the current offers on a fairly short thread?

    bytie bit.

lets not forget that before people would post the offer on grabbit AND freebies AND telephone. thats 3 sections with repeated posts, and as they are often running thats a lot of threads.

this way if the offer comes up 1 person can post the offer and we can easy see it.

would help if people leave the thread to just posting off the offers also and not turn it into a discussion thread. that way you should just look at the latest post to see if an offer is on.

an old saying is "work smarter not harder" its alot easier ALL round if they are posted in 1 thread.

I am all for the single thread on sim card offers.

It's a great idea and would work well if we all did as requested by the board guides.

** I must apologise for cluttering up the sim card offers thread with my little rant. Wont happen again.......... **

    Me too :T

I don't know exactly how the BG's work, but maybe it would be a good idea if the poster of a freebie sim could edit their post to say "offer ended" then the BG's could delete the post? Or is that too time consuming? Not that I care if there's old offers in the thread, I'm quite capable of finding out if an offer has finished all by myself :D Just thought it would keep the thread short.

  • Please Seven, no need to apologise icon7.gif

Troo, in fact Jo comes along with her little brush and sweeps away the finished offers into Gone But Not Forgetten icon12.gif
