Tesco Stir fry mixed veg 5p tinned 220g drained weight in a red tin on the shelves with the chinese veg also beansprouts same size also 5p!
contains beansprouts/corn cobs/water chestnuts/bamboo shoots/carrots etc

I am not sure that deserves a thread of its own, but Tesco have tins of stir fry veg on offer for 5p (reduced from 69p) until the 26th. Not tried this before, but we do like stir fry, so I though they would make a good addition to the store cupboard.
I also see that they have Tesco Wild Pacific Pink Salmon 418g,for 80p.
I have also been told that they have Whitworths seed pearl tapioca for 5p. Apparently this can also be used in savoury dishes, although I haven`t tried that myself. I cannot find it on Tesco shop online, but maybe it is just in certain stores.
As you may guess, I am on a bit of a mish to find economical ways to lay in a few bits and bobs for the winter.The more I see of men, the more I love dogs - Madame de Sevigne0 -
Ohhh might have to go and have a look today.
Stocked up on Asda's 5p curry sauce yesterday - it is quite yummy for 5p !!

This will probably get moved into the Grocery Challenge...thanks for the heads up. I have not tried tinned stir fry veg before,although I have tried tinned beansprouts and they were yuk!We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0

Tins of stirfry veg that were 50p per tin now just 5p. Same normal label-I just look at the prices now on the shelves rather than the produt to find a bargain. Got 10 tins. Had one tonight with a reduced lamb chop and some curry and rice-very nice!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

the tinned beansprouts are 5p too. The date on the tins is October 2008 so I'm guessing that why they're cheap.0
