Found cheaper eggs, but no BB date...

I've found a house that sells free range (really free range!) eggs for 80p 1/2 doz, which is cheaper than Tescos. But there's no use by date stamped on them.
Being thick,
how long can I keep them for? I don't use them that much. And should I keep them in the fridge?
Thanks xx

Eggs will keep for weeks, even months (though they're not at their best then). I keep mine in the fridge but only for convenience. You don't need to.0

my hens dont print the date on their eggs either LOL
I keep mine in a box on top of the fridge, if they are refrigerated get them up to room temp before cooking.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I get eggs from a local farm (50p/half dozen) and they keep for two week easy. The farmer has fruit, veg, eggs, flower baskets potted up by the gate for peeps to buy. Everything is fresh, nicely presented and much cheeper than the shops. The last time I went for eggs I noticed he has had to install CTV to stop folks nicking the stuff and taking the cash float:mad:Life's a beach! BTW, don't hard boil freshly laid eggs as the shells are a complete nightmare to take off, not entirely sure why but don't do it.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0
