Hello everyone!
Just come back from a camping short brake in Hemsby, near Great Yarmouth from 2-6/08.The countryside is beautiful, and after busy, noisy London seems like a paradise.
First time went camping with the kids.... and we enjoyed.
There was a lot of rains, but the beach was heaven when sunny.
We also visited the Thigby Hall Wildlife Garden and saw a little baby monkey, just a week old and so-o-o cute.
Was really good short-brake, an very cheap, just £12 per night together with the car and tent..
So , has anybody else been there at that period or any other? How was for you? Did you enjoy camping?
And do we have here any serious campers?
And for all this time being away i didn't won anything , not even a tiny frebie,.. so august is still empty!

Thinking of buying a tent. We used to go camping but have not been since our youngest two arrived on the scene.
you have inspired me!0 -
We are going camping for our first time on Monday but the weather looks crap and I don't fancy a wet week in skegness stuck in a tent. We might have to postpone. We have been very excited about it. What type of things do you do inside a tent when it rains?0

We went camping last weekend and it rain as per normal when we camp. I always take loads of board games, card games, top trumps, drawing stuff. My kids are 13 and 9 and normally don't like that kind of thing at home but in camping mode they really enjoyed it! When the sun did come out for a bit I made sure that the tennis rackets and cricket bat and balls were ready so they could burn off some energy. Kids from surrounding tents invited themselves to paly cricket and before we knew it we had about 8 kids playing which everyone enjoy.0

I'm going to stay at Seacroft Holiday Village, I've got bus tickets to Norwich, how could I get to Hemsby, is there any bus-line? I would be glad if somebody could help me, if not I'll try getting a taxi.
Best regards.0 -

A bus from Norwich bus station will take you to Great Yarmouth, from there you get a bus about 15 mins to Hemsby0
