Hi All,
I need to copy some videos which i own (Divx files and my kid birthday videos)and want to play in my DVD player.
We have recently bought a Dell computer(Windows Vista) which came with DVD write drive. I thought it comes with software and tried to write videos and discs as i normally do for CDs on my laptop(windows XP) , but those are not playable on DVD palyer. When i drag and drop the videos on to DVD drive, it's giving me otions to slect from DVD Data or DVD Video and selected DVD Video.
Is there any free software you can recommend, i have googled a bit, but lots of them are available and not sure which is recommended for vista.
Not sure, what is the difference between DVD burner and DVD ripper?
Please anyone of you could help me?
Thanks.

i couldnt recommend 1 bit of software to do it as you have so many choices i suggest grabbing a few off google and trying them to see what you like the look of.
dvd burner is a physical bit of hardware, its the dvd drive you use to make the dvds/cd's. It can also be the software that is used to put info on blank media such as nero burning rom or imageburn.
a dvd ripper is some software that will "rip" (copy) the information off of a retail movie dvd and copy the contents to your hard drive.
DVD rippers are used to edit or backup DVD content for playing on mobile devices or media players etc etcThe orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0 -
Which DVD burning software is currently installed?
A free option is DVD Flick.
Paid for options include Nero 8 and Easy Media Creator 10.0
