This summer, La Tasca is inviting you to help us to re-create La Tomatina, right here in good old Blighty! Just send us your tomato-based photos, videos and recipes. Photos and videos can be anything like tomato-juggling, animations, paintings or even Straightforward splatting. Recipes must involve tomatoes and have a Spanish theme.

First prize
There are two prizes of a five-night holiday to Alicante for two people, including flights, courtesy of Monarch Airlines, and accommodation, at the four-star Hesperia Lucentum Hotel, supplied by Hotelopia. One will be awarded for the best video or photo entry; the other for the best recipe.

How to enter
Photographs
To send us your photographs, please go to ‘Photos’ and follow the instructions. Please ensure that they are no more than 1MB in size. Photographs should be sent in RGB colour .jpg or .gig format.
Movies
Any movies you would like to enter can be sent in either of two ways:
1. The easiest way is to follow the instructions in the ‘Videos’ section. Remember to keep the file size as small as possible (Max 1.6MB).
2. Alternatively, you can send us videos on CD or DVD in the post. Please address entries to: Tomatina Videos, Chocolate Ltd, 11 Maddox Street, London, W1S 2QF
Recipies
These should be sent to us as a Word document. Please ensure that you include a full ingredients list, with full preparation/method guidelines. To send us your recipe, please click here. Remember to send us your full name, phone number, age and address. Alternatively, you could film your recipe and send as a movie clip, as above.

Competition closes on 23.08.08.
Prize-winners will be notified: 29/8/08.

Terms and Conditions
La Tasca La Tomatina Competition
The closing date for the La Tasca La Tomatina competition is 23/8/08 at midnight. Terms and conditions apply, as below. Bay Restaurant Group Limited (of Porter Tun House, 500 Capability Green, Luton, LU1 3LS) is hereinafter referred to as the ‘Promoter’.

The competition is open to all United Kingdom residents, aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter or its affiliates, the families of such employees and any other people connected with this competition.
The theme of the competition is tomatoes! For the chance to win, you can enter the competition in one of the two categories below. When entering, you should provide your full name, age, e-mail, phone number and address, so that we can notify you, should you win.
- Category one: photographs or movies
  Send us your tomato-themed photographs, eg paintings, drawings or tomato splat. Please follow instruction at
  Send us your tomato-themed video clip (eg re-enacting your own La Tomatina, with no more than 4–6 people, ensuring that all people are consenting and willing participants and that all tomatoes are already squashed first), animation or tomato-juggling. No more than 3 minutes in length. Follow the instructions at www.latasca.co.uk/videos.html. Remember to keep the file size as small as possible. - Category two: recipes
  You could send in your tastiest tomato recipe. Please ensure that you include a full ingredients list, preparation guidelines/method and cooking times etc. Recipe to be supplied in a Word document by e-mail. Winning recipes will be selected by a panel of La Tasca chefs and judged based on imagination and Spanish flair; at least one judge will be independent of the Promoter. The winners will be chosen on 29/8/08 by a panel of judges, with at least one judge independent of the Promoter. The competition will be judged on the most original and creative entries. If you win, you will be notified on 29/8/08 by e-mail and by phone (if a number is provided) that you have won and what you will need to do to claim your prize. In the event that a claim for a prize is not received by the Promoter by 4/9/08, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner (without notice to the first winner chosen).
Only one entry permitted per person. No bulk or third-party entries will be accepted. The competition is free to enter; no purchase necessary. Please note that any entry material supplied cannot be returned to you. Any copyright or other intellectual property rights in or relating to any entry material shall continue to belong to the entrant. The Promoter is granted a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty free, non-exclusive licence to copy and use all entry materials in such manner as it chooses and without any other restriction. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or illegible entries. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. Proof of sending does not constitute proof of receipt. The Promoter will not be liable for a person not being able to enter the competition owing to any system failures, network error, Web sites being ‘down’/unavailable, hacks on systems or personal computer issues whatsoever.
Any re-enactment footage of La Tomatina should take place on private property, with permission granted for this activity, and not in public places. All participants in such a re-enactment must consent to such participation and must participate willingly. The Promoter does not accept responsibility or liability for personal injury, acts of violence or any entry set up in any way so as to cause harm to another person or animal, intentionally or by accident or to cause any damage to any property or belongings. Entries showing, but not limited to, the aforementioned will be disqualified. By entering, any participants consent to participation and do so willingly. Each entrant confirms that he or she is fully entitled to submit all entry material to the Promoter and such submission (and any subsequent use by the Promoter of the entry material) will not infringe the rights of any other person or give rise to any claim form any other person. In particular, all entrants agree that the Promoter has the right to publish or otherwise use the material or any of its elements for any type of use, including promotional and advertising purposes, as contemplated by the licence in clause 4 and each entrant confirms that he or she is entitled to grant such a licence. La Tasca La Tomatina competition is not an official endorsement of the La Tomatina festival in Spain and has no relationship with it, other than its name.
The following first, second and third prizes will be awarded for each of the two categories:
1st Prize
One five-night holiday to Alicante, Spain for two people. Those travelling must be over 18 and hold a valid UK/British passport.
Included in the prize:
1) Monarch flights from Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton or Manchester to Alicante airport in Spain.
2) Five nights’ accommodation at four-star Hesperia Lucentum Hotel, in Alicante, in a double or twin room, including breakfast, subject to availability.
The prize is to be booked two weeks or more before departure and should be taken during 14/9–31/10/08. Your choice of dates is subject to availability; alternative dates may be given to you.
Excluded from the prize: Transport to and from any airport in the UK and Spain, any and all food/subsistence other than the included breakfast, travel insurance and any additional expenses incurred over and above those listed as being included in the prize.
2nd Prize
Five runners-up will each win a Red iPod Nano per category (subject to availability of red).
3rd Prize
100 people will each win a La Tasca Tomatina T-shirt.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify an entrant in the event that the Promoter has grounds for believing that the entrant has contravened any of these terms and conditions of entry.
The prize-winners may be required to provide a written acknowledgement of acceptance of all terms and conditions of this promotion.
The Promoter’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
The stated prizes cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. No cash alternatives will be offered. If, owing to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter is unable to provide the stated prizes or any part thereof, the Promoter reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value, at the Promoter’s discretion.
The prize-winners may be required to participate in publicity arising from the award of the prizes. By entering this competition, entrants acknowledge that they may be used in publicity, along with any entry material, without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include, without limitation, each winner’s name, likeness, voice, photographs or video footage, any statement made relating to the competition and the prize and any biographical information provided by each winner and his/her guests, in relation to the prize.
To the fullest extent permissible in law, the Promoter shall not be liable to the prize-winners for any loss or damage, howsoever caused, whether in contract, tort or statutory duty or otherwise arising out of, or in connection with, this promotion and the prize. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay in performing or partial or total failure to perform any or all of its obligations to the winner of a prize under these terms and conditions, if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control; the winner of the prize and guest of the winner will be solely liable for any additional costs arising as result of such events. While the Promoter has made reasonable enquiries to ensure that the prizes will be enjoyable and entertaining, the Promoter does not guarantee, warrant or represent the suitability or quality of the prizes and shall not be responsible for any activities undertaken in the course of the prizes.
All personal data collected during participation in this competition will be held and used to notify winners. We may also contact you to inform you of the Promoter’s marketing promotions. If you do not wish to receive such information, please inform us in writing, when entering the competition.
