I recently listed an old tshirt on ebay and first time it seemed to get interest but no bidders so I relisted it, however it seems to be doing better this time round.
Someone has just messaged me about it, and asked how much I would be willing to end the auction early and sell to him at - so my question is how do I go about this? Do I have to end auction early then relist as buy-it-now or what?
Thanks

Had anyone bid and how long is left? If not, you can alter your listing to have a buy now, can't remember if you can do this once someone has bid though.0

No-ones bid on it yet, and the auction ends on Monday evening.
The first time I listed it though - had like 7 people watching I think but not one bid - hence why I don't mind getting rid of it early.
If I go to revise the listing, and add a buy-it-now price will that cost more in terms of listing fees? And also if I do that can't anyone just buy-it-now, if it wasn't the guy that asked about it that bought it I think I'd feel a bit bad.0 -
you can chose the end listing early button if he places a bid and add any extra cost onto the postage that seems to be the norm in my experienceBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0

Not really the norm as if you choose to end the auction at the current bid you can't enforce any further additions to stated cost.
Personally I would either just add a BIN or tell the buyer that you would prefer to let the auction run.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for the replies.
I messaged back saying I'd add a buy-it-now if he wanted it, but he hasn't got back to me after about 36 hours. I think I'll probably add the buy-it-now anyway as it'll only cost me an extra 5p and just want to get rid of the shirt to be honest.0 -
if you want rid of it, add the buy it now but do a quick check on completed listings to see how much the shirt has gone for before - put your buy it now price at slightly lower than the last one that sold and hopefully should encourage people to bite at the cherry and buy it now or alternatively choose to bid.0
