Are you...
- on the electoral roll?
- a home owner?
- in full time employment?
...as all help towards your overall credit "score".
Search the chat forums for threads on "Vanquis", "Capital One credit-builder", and other "sub-prime" card providers. You may have to either leave a deposit with them or agree to around 29% APR rates - although this shouldn't matter if you spend wisely and pay off in full each month. Run one of these cards for 6 months or so and you should have established yourself some sort of "credit history", allowing you to apply for the better cards.0 -
Two other cards for 'beginners':
- Barclaycard initial
- Aquacard
