Terms and conditions


1. By entering this promotion you accept these terms and conditions.
2. The prize draw closes at midday on Friday August 1 2008.
3. Those entrants who nominate the menu which receives the most number of votes will be entered into a draw where the prize is a meal for 2 people with a value of up to £300 at the Hind's Head; Restaurant Gordon Ramsay; St John; Hakkasan; or Le Gavroche restaurant at which the chef with the most popular menu has a connection. The relevant restaurants are the Hinds Head, Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, St John, Hakkasan and Le Gavroche. The winner will be chosen by a random draw of all entries that nominated the most popular menu. Transport, and accommodation and all other expenses are not included in the prize.
4. The results of the vote will be announced on guardian.co.uk/food on Tuesday August 4 2008.
5. The promotion is open to residents of the U.K. aged 18 and over.
6. The promotion is not open to employees of Guardian News and Media or any of the restaurants featured, their agencies or anyone else connected with the creation or administration of the promotion.
7. Only one entry is allowed per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
8. No responsibility is taken for entries lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete due to server functions, virus, bugs or any other causes outside GNM's control. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.
9. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes. GNM retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
10. The winner will be notified by email on Tuesday August 25 2008. The winner is required to accept the prize within 7 days of notification. In the event of non-acceptance, GNM will re-draw and select a new winner (the same acceptance period will apply for the new winner).
11. No purchase necessary.
12. The Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity.
13. GNM cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the promotion or accepting the prize or any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the promotion. Nothing shall exclude GNM's liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
14. GNM reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this promotion with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control.
15. The promotion will be governed by English law.
