Full rack of BBQ ribs, fries/coleslaw TGI Friday Style

How can I do this at home, rather than paying £13.75 for it at TGI's. What type of ribs do I look for? Can't see them in Asda?

    Hi Matt,

I think that you may get more replies on the Old Style board, so I hope that you don't mind if I move your thread over there.

Good luck. I want to know too. I'm salivating worse than Pavlov's dogs after reading that

I'm nowhere near a TGI, but are they as good as what our local Chinese take-away does? ;) (Bacon ribs I think)

Tesco do racks of ribs. I got some in the summer, but I'm not sure if it's a seasonal (barbeque time of year) thing. Unfortuantely we don't have TGI Friday's here so I can't help you with cooking ideas.

They sound as though they're good........this thread is making me hungry now.:D

What are the TGI ones like sofa? Are they cooked in the sauce, or grilled and then sauce poured over them?

    I'm starving too.......off to the fridge :o

Tesco do indeed do a full rack of ribs for around £3.89 on fresh meat section and sell them all year round too. A bit big compared to the rip off you'd get in TGI Fridays though!

For the most basic of recipes simply mix honey with brown sauce half honey to brown sauce and cover the ribs and throw them in the oven, vary the sauce if you wish add worcestershire sauce for a bit more bite, or cayenne pepper etc, mess about with the ingredients to your taste even throw some apple chunks or pineapple chunks at it, don't look to the likes of Jamie Oliver for your recipes make up your own!
