Have searched the boards but can't find anything about these guys so thought I'd ask......
Has anyone used first:telecom and are they any good.
Have found details of them offering a free DVD for new registrations and do not have a monthly charge.
Website is: http://www.firsttele.com/splash/DVD-promo.htm?campaign=OohdsQnOddU%3D&udat=7881
Looks good, especially as they cover NTL based phone lines for a change but get a feeling it's too good to be true and can't find any comments about them anywhere.
Can anyone help?

They do have some monthly charges see

The rates are not very good. Lots of networks allow you to make unlimited free weekend calls. They only offer 200 minutes on Saver 1.
Their price matching tariff does not match other networks free evening and weekend call offers.
I guess you might be a NTL Customer? The cable tariff is easily beaten by https://www.call1899.com (Speak as long as you like to 01/02 numbers for just 3p connection a call using the 0808 cable access number.) Cheaper peak and weekend calls to UK mobiles in most cases if you use 1899.
30 minute evening cable call to 01/02 no on First-Tele 30p.Same thing on 1899 just 3p connection.
Be able to buy a few dvds with savings made perhaps.
