Fuming with Nat West Visa!

in Credit cards
Has anyone experienced an interest payment request from Nat West for a bill that was presented 2 months earlier? I made a part payment in August, then in September I paid in full (including the interest added for August). This month they advised I owed £1.52 in interest. As I had paid the last bill on time I queried this with a Customer Services Advisor. She said it was a legitimate charge carried over from August. When I asked why she said "well we don't know when customers are going to make their payments". I advsed her in August I had paid the bill by the designated date (albeit not in full) and did the same in September (in full). Is this right? Sorry to users if this has been covered in other threads but there are so many to look at I may have missed it.

Summary Box:Interest Free Period - Maximum 56 days for purchases if you pay your balance in full and on time, and have paid the previous month’s balance in full and on time
When you paid next balance in full in September this balance included interest only as on the balance date, not on the date your payment reached account, hence you still owe interest for the period between these two dates.
This is common for all credit cards, not only NatWest ...0 -

i am annoyed with Natwest also. I used my credit card (for the first time) and never recieved a statement. Only by a stroke of luck, i remember before i was charged any interest. They blame the post !0
