I would like to ask a question please.

I am really getting more confident entering the online competions. I read, well have reread actually!, Velvetgloves brilliant guide. I know I can put a tick next to the comps I have entered by subscribing but you then have to click back over a few pages or use the down arrow at the top near the back button. I also click thanks if I have entered [or not] when I have looked at a comp. With all the new buttons and gadgets is there an easier way please?

I'm fairly up to date with whats posted and just use the thanks button to remind me if i've entered. I dont do the comps by end date but enter them as they are posted and therefore know the last time i logged on / off and always just catch up from there. If i miss the odd comp then so be it.

At the moment I do the comps by end date, usually 2 / 3 days ahead and set the forum as Thread Title and date asc.
What do I set the forum show list to if I was to enter as comps are added? I thought they got bumped to the top of the list if someone responded to a comp.

If you go to Display Options at the bottom of the first page and change Sorted By to Thread Start Time, you'll get the newest comps first.

Brilliant! Thanks so much. I think I will find this much easier. It's OK doing the comps by end date until you get to the end of the month! :eek: then it feels like there are millions!!

Will revise my plan of action!

What's going on? Did the forum become read only again? I never saw it announced. I just posted 2 comps and neither showed up, and I suddenly realise nothing has been posted since 3pm. Got the twilight zone music in my head lol.

eta - Sorry just looked at the Inn. Thought I was going doolally. and my comps have showed up now at least.

Has anyone else lost their Thanks button on all posts? I don't know which comps I have already entered now! Eeek!
