order by post: 10 x 8 inch padded self addressed envelope, stamped to value of 79p to PO BOX 6161, KETTERING, NORTHANTS,NN14 4ZG.

Note that 79p appears to be the OLD (First Class) postage rate for up to 200 grams. Current rates for 200 g are 84 p (First) or 62 p (Second). Using 79 p could result in delay or, worse still, a hefty surcharge!

Would someone kindly clarify: to get the Railway Children DVD using the instructions in post #329, do I need any codes, coupons etc. from the newspaper? Thanks.

For information- this is the recent version with Richard Attenborough, not the old classic; Jenny Agutter appears as 'Mother'.Its ok imo but not as good as the original with Bernard Cribbins as the station master.
  • Todays (Monday) Times Code For the Railway Children

Send a text to 82246 starting with the word TIMES3 followed by your name, address and postcode.

    Cost £1.50 plus standard message.

By post - a 10 x 8 inch padded SAE with 79p of stamps to The railway Children DVD Offer, PO Box 6161, Kettering, Northants, NN14 4ZG

So same text number, same address, just different code - but i think we can probably see a pattern forming

Jumping back a bit to the topic of the animated tales dvds in The Telegraph, anyone with primary or secondary aged children would find these very helpful, as would the schools they go to. These have been unavailable for a while, despite being very good, and schools have been using scabby old videos of them off the tv.
My kids school are going to ask parents to collect tokens- others would just be glad to know they are available- I work in an English dept and we will be buying them as we have wanted them for a long time.
P.S. now that I have confessed that, please don't expect my grammar to improve...

Looked in today's (Thursday) Times and the pattern as above continues ....

    HOWEVER !

It all had a NEW TEXT number (sorry don't know what it was) where you could order the entire set of DVDs for £5 plus the standard message

ALSO it said that tomorrow or Saturday there would be the opportunity to order any that had been missed earlier in the week.

ADDITIONALLY it also said that tomorrow's Times (Friday) would have details (a coupon?) where it would be possible to send away for the entire set.
Probably more than an SAE with 79p but probably the cheapest method of all.
