I have learnt to live without.......

Some other stuff I manage to live without;
dishwasher - we let ours build up till it needs doing
tumble dryer - only use in winter, we only have certain rooms heated and would take forever to dry
ironing water -not really sure what this is - we use tap water but could use essential oils for fragrance if you wanted
air fresheners - we have two males and after they have used the loo, nothing else will shift the pong it:p
hair conditioner (although useful in the battle against nits) - only use it now and again
make up - I only wear it when I go out
perfume - ditto
face creams - I buy the cheapest
bread maker
- I have had mine for ages and use it about once a week
and although I've got one I can manage without a slow cooker - great for stews tho
same goes for mobile phone - handy tho'
I can't live with my TV, Sky, internet, laptop, DVD recorder and stereo tho'An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -

Have never used fabric softener, dislike the smell, so artificial.
Plan to give up conventional deodorant, will look into those crystal things.
Could live without sweets, but not chocolate.
Plastic carrier bags, always have bags for life with me. Must talk to OH.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

Got 3 males in my house:rotfl: 0 -
I live without fabric and hair conditioner - use vinegar instead. I gave my dishwasher away cos never used it. Make my own gel air freshener now. Never buy pre-prepared veggies anymore - not OS nor moneysaving!0

havent used fabric conditioner in over a year although i do use the 2in1 washing powders! i have found that if i use the dryer on towels and jeans they are soft enough anyway! everything else goes on the rads or clothes horse to dry. try to limit my use of hair conditioner to free samples i get!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

I find that dishwasher powder, own brands from Sainsburys, Morrisons etc is much cheaper than tablets, especially the large packs, works just as well, and you can put however much or little you want in without the hassle of breaking tablets in half. Strange, nobody seems to have mentioned this before.0

I have lived without fabric conditioner for about a year and hardly ever iron so never worried about ironging water.
I like the idea of trying to use less carrier bags so I will add that to my to do list for the year!Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
We've deliberately given up: one of the cars, fabric conditioner, expensive washing powder (we use whatever Value one we pick up), bleach, dishwasher, tumbledrier except when very wet out, breadmaker, ecoballs (useless), ready meals, bought DVDs, many bought veggies now we've got an allotment. I'd happily give up the TV too but DW won't.Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0

I was going to say the same. Or open a window! I think toilet pong mixed with air freshener is worse than the original smell!:rotfl:0
