So, anyone got any companies to add?

I used to work in the chemical industry and it was widely acknowledged that
Shell was the best for pay, T&Cs etc. When I first started in this industry I worked for
Dalgety but they sold us to Rio Tinto, another good employer. After this we were sold
to Rhone Polenc, a French chemical giant subsidised by the French government.
We used to call them Ron Plonk as no one could pronounce the name. They then closed our factory but I am still getting my pension which, although small, does increase each year by 3%.
  • Hi

I have just started up with Phoenix Trading, selling cards & gift wrap. The cards are really good quality, and (I think) good value for money.

So far I haven't really done much actively to sell, other than taking in a few brochures to work - with very little effort I have had 4 orders already from work with promises of more to come. My sponsor has been in touch regularly and has been very supportive.

I'm looking forward to the year to come!

    KL.

This is their website link if you want further info (this link does NOT give me a referral - it is the general company website link).

Is this working from home or surveys etc? Decent pay? Thanks

If you like a lot of walking and are fit, dogs (who try and go for you!), talking to strangers (who ask what on earth you are doing), and you are very organised then it's the job for you. Basic wage-p/t usually 6 hrs occasionally double that. Get paid in the bank.
  • I work from home as an agent for the Utility Warehouse. The company pays you to refer customers to it instead of using media advertising.

Its network/ referral marketing and takes time and effort to produce an income, but it can produce a good one.

The company seems to have reached a "tipping point" and is now expanding very quickly and was recently moved up to the footsie 250.

I love it, have met some great people through it, and you don`t have to be an "expert" on gas and electricity or broadband as the company is always there to help.

Tiscali is another company that you can earn money with by being an agent although they don`t do energy.
  • not a job in the traditional "job" sense - but if you have baby or kids stuff that you don't want any more, its free to sell it on beansprog.com. (just 10% commission after item sold) its a great way to declutter and something to do while you're looking for a "proper" job!
