Try here; www.themonumentcard.co.uk they help people with past and only search Call Credit at the moment so you might get accepted, they tell you instantly if you have been accepted or not. I got mine today £500 @ 26.6% Apr.

...they dont record status [0] instead they put status unrecorded, so it doesn't do much for your credit rating. It not bad but it isnt good either.
It's not strictly "unrecorded"...more "nothing to report (yet)".

Status codes are described in this Experian publication...

    http://experian.metafaq.com/resources/experian/Downloads/Credit_report_explained
(page 11 for credit cards, and page 15 for current accounts)

From the Experian web site "
A lender must always get your permission before making a search of our records. If you
asked the organisation for a quote rather than applying for credit, this should be shown
on the search record. These records are called ‘quotation searches’ and lenders will
know that they don’t represent credit applications. (Quotes can be given for credit cards,
insurance, personal loans, mortgages, store cards, or bills)." Not true, no UK credit card or mobile phone company will do a quotation search for you, I have spoken to 99.9% of them over the years and they say there is no such thing, full credit search or not at all. So why do Experian publish such rubbish?
