Hiya ms london, hope you're having a ball.

    No spend day for me!
    January budget
    Nothing left!
  • £24.32 in Aldi
    £32.22 in Tescos

£56.54 in total on shopping, but we are late shopping as normally shop on Thursday, so effectively we will now manage 2 weeks shopping out of 1 :money:

Still need to fill the freezer in Iceland, and was due to do that at the beginning of August, so again, will almost be the end of August before we get round to it and it will last us most of September :money:

BTW, just done our first shop in Aldi and cannot say we were impressed in the slightest. I was looking at things and knew that they were cheaper in Tescos in their value range which we normally buy anyway!!!! I think we will just stick to Tesco Value and Iceland to be honest.

Wow an e-postcard from Ms_London! Do you think she should start her own "DFW Down Under" thread?? She can update it as & when. I'd love that.

    I have spent

    £1.50 on bus fare
    £16.50 on a karate suit & PP (don't ask....)
£190 on gardner for putting up trellis for extra security (we were burgled this year). This was budgeted/planned for.

I should bloomin' well hope that will be it for the day if not the rest of the week!!!

Downer so far - £2.20 on coffee and cake (to cheer me up at work!) + £29.90 at the post office (about £20 of that already covered by eBay payments).

And it looks like we may need repairs on the roof! :( Had a horrendous storm last night - got up to calm down the dogs and found water dripping through from the attic. Went up there and one of the beams is soaked. Will have to investigate when it dries up a bit. At least have caught it early - the water was running through the light fitting (yikes!) and hasn't damaged the ceiling at all - and I padded it out with towels in the attic so it has stopped for now. Wonder if it might be an insurance job? Storm damage?

Must have a no spender tomorrow!

Hi Ms London :hello: - great to hear from you...glad you are enjoying yourself.:T Enjoy your relaxation time - you deserve it after all those hours you worked this year to get yourself to where you are now!!;)

Pleased to report a no spend day here. Not only that, but my boss took my husband and myself out for lunch - to a very swish and expensive Indian restaurant.:D Very yummy and absolutely stuffed to the gills so don't think we're going to need to bother with dinner either (maybe a bowl of cornflakes later if the munchies strike, but am still very full at the moment!!).

Excellent news for the grocery budget, too!:rotfl:

£25 on a new cardigan that fits my pregnancy bump and £5.00 on food + fruit juice. I'm planning to have no-spend days on Tuesday and Wednesday to make up for this.
