And all the usual consumer protection and cooling off periods won't apply. Although I think the consumer credit protection if bought by credit card does apply at present, I think they are still trying to get the rules changed to exclude foreign purchaes.

Richer Sounds have branded 42" HDTVs (with and without HDMI) for under £1500.

Having purchased every bit of HiFi separates equipment from them in the past, I know where I'd rather buy from!!

  • Aldi are currently selling 42" Plasma TV's at £999 with a 3 year warranty - There's another thread on this site discussing what the model is here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=203414. Aldi don't accept credit cards though.

But they have a lot of people registered to the site and they keep coming back so I don't know what to think? I really wanna buy this 300gb hd divx player. I have already clicked "take it" and opted to pay by bank transfer, but not paid yet.

Is there any guarantee that I can get my money back (bank transfer) if this is a scam? Cos a lot of people seem to have bought other items and they don't seem to have complained on the forums.

And one of the reviews from the review centre is good.

Well, I've just placed my order with them for the 300gb media drive. Looks good. £7.40 for delivery. Reading their T&C's, you have the usual 7 day cooling off period and can obtain a full refund etc. I checked out the forums and most people seem happy with their goods. Checked out all the security when paying and all verified correctly with the verisign certificate and encryption. Used the Opera browser. I now wait for the delivery.

    Further information on the unit.
