Parking fine - to pay or not to pay

if the ticket has the wrong registration plate on it, then it is invalid, they do not get two bites of the cherry. The photo backs up the ticket, the ticket does not back up the photo. I would not pay this at all, lucky you you got away with it.Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160

Well--- erm
depending on who issued it and relevant legislation, yes.
-- but OP is yet another who post asking for help and then doesn't respond.0 -

He actually knows very little of the situation, and I wasn't asking for help. I was warning the OP how things can can get out of control if you don't take the right course of action.
Well -- yes I see you kinda were -- and I don't doubt your intentions -- BUT -- you then went on to advise entirely the WRONG course of action based on your own mistakes.
Ok, I know nothing apparently. So lets work it backwards.
A bailiff took a large amount of money from you. For what?
Did they hold a warrant? From who? How did they obtain it?
This was in relation to a Council PCN. So how did it get to the point of a warrant being issued? Did you follow the appeals procedure? Did the Council 'try it on' and you didn't realise how to respond?
Did you ignore any correspondence from the Council or respond inappropriately?
What exactly do you mean by 'complaints'? Who were you corresponding with?
Why do you think you had a valid 'appeal' initially?0 -
It's from a council. Do you think that makes a difference? Thanks to all who have responded so far!
''a council''. ???
If it is issued under TMA 2004 then it is invalid and may not be corrected.
If they somehow realise their mistake and send a Notice to Owner with the correct VRM then they are trying it on. The original PCN is invalid.
Normal advice is to ignore it completely rather than flag it up to them -- and see if anything arrives.

I have a parking fine that is outstanding and although I initiallly did appeal to Trafford Borough Council via email, on the grounds the ticket was issued within 5 minutes of the car park opening, I had actually been parked an hour prior to this and vacated 1 minute after the ticket was issued? I felt it was harsh, but they didnt agree and I was told to pay. I asked if they had a payment scheme due to the fact I am in receipt of Benefits and unable to afford the £25 in one payment, they apparently dont offer that facility?? So it now has reached the stage where they have passed the debt on to a Collection Agency (Bailiff) and wanted £263 or goods to that effect. I have not spoken with this company and instead I emailed the council again, they replied with an offer to pay £25 per month, I received another letter from the Collection Agent confirming that I was to pay 5 payments of £25 each month without fail, so the £263 had been reduced to £125. I have since emailed the council again asking them how if I couldnt afford to pay £25 in the first place in one lump sum, how was I supposed to afford to pay 5 of them? They have since replied asking me to stop emailing them and to discuss payment of the £125 with the Bailiff.
Please can you advise this is making my life more miserable than it already is based on the fact I receive £59.50 per week to live off!! I just dont know what to do I am worried that the bailiff will turn up and seize my car, which is just a £400 banger?
Thanks
