we went to the canal too today
    there werent any ducks tho
they were probably scared off cos its a building site at the mo
its being redone well not the canal but the surroundings
we had to walk through those metal railings and coming back nearly got flatened by a roller
my mantra *it will be worth it*

Ahthe old "thin as a rail ploy" I can visualise it now......
    piccie of you

Our canal is being relined at the moment, and in one part they have built a big mound of clay that is level with the banking and goes across from one bank to the other, dgs asked if we could walk across it!!! I would have thought they would have it fenced off to stop kids walking across as the water is quite deep in places:eek:

I live right next to the leeds liverpool canal, and they did something similar to one of the locks a few months ago. It was all fenced off whilst they did their ministrations, but i reckon children could have still got through.

It looks very tranquil, and i can see what you mean about being distressed about clay. I love walking around ours, have done so all my life and couldn't imagine not being able to do so.

I reckon she should keep it when on one of his threads. It might put him off trying to sneak free information to use in his business.
